I just completed my second lease after subscribing to the LeaseKit. My first in 2003 and now again in 2007, both high-end vehicles. Armed with the knowledge and tools your service provides, I was able to confidently know all components to leasing, understand dealer tactics, and know going in what was reasonable for the specific car I was leasing (and double check it all when shown the contract!). Both deals turned out excellent. And what is more, I knew how best to get my positive equity out from the first lease, which ended up to be no small sum, and which I handled completely separate in a private party deal rather than a trade. I wanted to send out a well-earned thank you. Your website was fabulous in providing me with almost all of the information I needed to negotaite the terms of my first lease, save the exact verbiage I used to wrestle for the vehicle price I was looking for.

I didn't expect that this information would be so useful when actually negotiating with a salesman, who know the tricks of the trade, etc. I think he was actually taken back by how much I knew about Cap Costs, Residal, and especially knowing inside and out what a Money Factor was. I think the fact that I brought all the accompanying paperwork from your Lease Kit, Calculator, and Personal notes set him back a notch or two. It also helps a lot if you can see the computer screen, all the information is right up there. Also advise to ASK QUESTIONS, if numbers don't match exacty or if you don't understand exactly where they are coming from, after I did so I found that the numbers went down or disappeared all together.

In the end I negotiated a 36 month lease on a brand new 2006 BMW 330Ci, paying tax and all fees up front, with a $5000 down payment, AND having him add on a rear deck spoiler and sound upgrade accessories for $484/month (Rated Outstanding by your lease evaluator!). Its great to know that I didn't overpay, that I knew what I was doing, and that there are people who are so knowledgeable such as yourselves that have been so helpful in preparing such comprehensive information to help out the consumer. Last October I leased a Lexus RX 300. With all the information that I gathered from your web site I was able to save close to $5,000 over a 39 month term. This is not from the sticker price but from the best offer that the 2 dealers that I worked with, gave me! When they realized that I knew how to work the numbers they sat up and paid attention! Since this was a very high demand car the dealers weren't willing to negotiate much off the sticker price until they realized that I knew their game and that I was willing to find a dealer that would give me the car at the price that I wanted to pay for it. When we finally came to a reasonable net cap cost, their monthly payment figure (that they got from their computer program) came up different that the one that I worked manually with your formula. I sat in the finance manager's office and he worked the numbers by hand and he indeed found that the computer was incorrect and I saved even more money!

I am currently in the process of leasing a Chrysler Concord for my husband and just 2 weeks ago we used your web site to purchase a Honda through a referral through Autobytel.com. Another great experience!

By the way tell your readers to check the money factors on the cars at -at least 2 dealers. The second dealer did not have his computer updated to the latest money factor and even though he was offering me the car at a lower net cap cost his money factor was higher and therefore payment was also. When I told him that the other dealer had a lower money factor he very quickly "found" the lower rate.

My husband has been very surprised with my negotiating ability and it has relieved a lot of pressure on him! He's too easy and doesn't have the time to learn all the ins and outs. Just last week we were in the Chrysler dealers finance office. The sales manager mentioned that he loved playing the numbers game with me and that made his job more fun. I then realized that- yes--I was having fun too!!

Over the weekend I leased a BMW...I proceeded to calculate the lease payment that the dealer stated in the contract to the exact penny. It was such a joy going into the transaction understanding exactly how it works, and I felt much better about signing the agreement having checked the dealer’s math.
