How the Real Lease Value Calculator is different than the Lease Evaluator in the Lease Kit
The Real Lease Value Calculator is different than the Lease Evaluator in our Lease Kit.
While both can be used to determine the value of a lease, the Real Lease Value Calculator does not account for vehicle make and model, whereas the Lease Evaluator does. Therefore you might get different results.
The Real Lease Value Calculator might tell you, for example, that a lease for a Ford Fiesta is a Poor deal (because it has a low lease residual and small price discount margin) and that a similar priced Honda Fit lease is a Good deal (because it has a higher residual value and makes a better lease vehicle). It essentially tells you the Honda is a better lease vehicle than the Ford.
On the other hand, the Lease Evaluator in our Lease Kit might tell you the Fiesta lease is actually a good deal -- compared to other similar vehicles in its class (vehicles with low residual values and low price margins). Therefore, the Lease Evaluator will tell you if your lease is good or not -- for a specific vehicle.
In short, the Lease Evaluator is vehicle-specific, while the Real Lease Value Calculator is cross-vehicle.
