A truck lease is no different from a car lease, except that, since trucks are often used for utility purposes, the possibility of damage and excessive wear and tear is greater. Therefore it is wise to consider this possibility and the potential lease-end costs associated with it. Lease-end residual values for utility vehicles are often lower than for compariable passenger vehicles. This can make monthly payments higher for truck leases than for similar-value car leases. Commercial or business truck leases are often "open-end" which reduces the residual value and makes payments higher, but reduces risk of lease-end costs. For more information, see: Lease Guide
