When
automotive consumers have a car lease problem, it usually
is one of the following:
- Realize after signing
a lease contract that leasing is not right for them. They want out of
the contract.
- Realize they didn't
understand how leasing works, and got a terrible deal. They want to
know what can be done about it now.
- Realize that they
are exceeding the mileage in their lease contract and will have to pay
significant penalties at lease-end. They want to know what should be
done.
- Their lifestyle
has changed (divorce, marriage, job loss, financial crisis) and need
to terminate their lease before the normal end date. They want to know
if this is feasible.
- Their leased vehicle
has been totaled in an accident, or stolen. They want to know how they
will be affected.
- The lessee, a family
member, has died. They want to know how the lease will be handled?
Car lease problems
all have solutions, although not always ideal solutions. The answers to
most of these questions and lease problems are in the LeaseGuide Frequently
Asked Questions page.
